A school is an educational institution designed and intended to provide learning spaces and learning environments for the teaching of students under the direction of teachers. It is the place which is academically influenced to shape and build up the positive character of the pupils.

According to Dewey: “The school is to be a reflection of the larger society outside its walls, in which life can be learnt by living. However, it is to be a purified, simplified and better balanced society.”

To meet such aims and objectives, DEEPJYOTI AWASIYA MA. VI. being situated in Tokha Municipality Ward-9, Gongabu, has been uninterruptedly providing the excellence since 2045-Magh-17 with the motto of ‘Education for Enlightenment’. A grand initiation of pioneering the educational procedure is yet another enormous achievement of Deepjyoti. Struggle is inevitable and we, as a team has undergone with many ups and downs since the establishment. It is believed that students can’t surpass only via academic education. With the objective of ‘Soaring to Preeminence’ in the field of both education and extra curricular activities , Deepjyoti  has a provision of varieties of clubs such as football, basketball, dance, music, taekwondo, chess, table-tennis, literature, volleyball and so on which undoubtedly sharpen the students’ physical and mental dexterity.  A strong and cooperative teamwork has been one of the major weapons and protective shields for Deepjyoti to uplift the life skills of the students studying here.

Mr. Upendra Narsingh Adhikari, the founder principal of Deepjyoti has an immeasurable contribution for establishing this institution. Initially in a temporary building with praiseworthy struggle, the students were taught and later, because of progressive dedication, hardwork and strong determination, Deepjyoti has been able to magnify its own infrastructural development. Now, it has its own premises with all necessary prerequisites. His continuous serving has made this academic institution a great platform for the students along with the entire crew to enhance their abilities and competence.

A school is not capable of bestowing the excellence without the proper selection of the teaching staff and non teaching staff. Hence, Deepjyoti has qualified, hardworking and competent manpower to drive it towards the road of perfection. Inspite of the natural calamity and its destruction, Deepjyoti team has been able to clench the successful results in various fields. The team in the leadership of the principal has been able to prioritize the students in discipline, punctuality, cleanliness and many other virtues that are compulsorily necessary. Currently, the school is organized efficiently by respected principal, Mrs. Bimala Adhikari Kunwar with about 30 teaching and non teaching members. Her strategy of power decentralization in different aspects related to school makes the institution demonstrate the greatness and success.
